Sean, cool that you got up Lizard Head! And that your descent route sounds pretty straightforward. Might have to try this soon if the snow holds off… I take it this is the lake below the gully, and that it’s the one southeast of the summit? I might have to try that soon if the snow holds off…
I was just up on Bonneville today, and there’s no more than a light dusting on any peaks. Get on it before the smoke returns!
That’s Lake 10,702′, WSW of the peak. From there, follow the obvious gully to the notch before the final headwall. There’s a bit of class 4 on the headwall, but it’s all class 2-3 to there. Much easier than the ridge from Camel’s Hump.
