    It is a beautiful looking peak (with an impressive, steep ski descent)!

      I can imagine skiing the Cascade-Johannesburg couloir; that’s how I came down after climbing the NE ridge, though it now appears to be too broken-up and melted-out to be a safe descent route. The stuff on the face, where the hanging glaciers live, is a whole other matter.

        Ahhhh yes. This is testing my memory (and proving it faulty). Looks like the face is too broken up and the JC is the only reasonable way down. I’m guessing this is the pic I saw years ago when I was researching:
