The Sierra Challenge seems to present plenty of opportunities for catastrophic injury, such as people falling on rocks and rocks falling on people. So far, such incidents have been extremely rare, but minor injuries are much more common. Mine this year include minor hand cuts, scraped forearms, battered shins and knees, sun poisoning, and blistered nose and lips. Such is the price of victory.
