Alpinism done fast, light, and cheap
I was wondering if you were wearing runners for these peaks.
I was until the snow came, and probably could have even in the snow if my trail runners were large enough to accommodate double socks, bread bags, and possibly chemical foot warmers. The boots were occasionally useful for kicking steps in the hardened scree, but were mostly for warmth.
